1 Killed, 1 Injured in Lakewood Car Accident on Del Amo Boulevard at Paramount Boulevard

Lakewood, California (January 26, 2020) – One person was killed and another was injured Saturday night in a traffic accident involving three vehicles in Lakewood, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash took place at around 11:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25 on Del Amo Boulevard at Paramount Boulevard.

Authorities said one vehicle was heading eastbound on Del Amo Boulevard at a high rate of speed when the driver allegedly ran a red light and broadsided another car, which then hit a third vehicle.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.  Their names have not been disclosed.

It is undetermined if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
