Yovanny Felix among 4 Struck and Killed by Vehicle on San Pasqual Valley Road near Oak Hill Drive in Escondido
Escondido, California (May 8, 2020) – Yovanny Felix, 10, was among four pedestrians who were killed in a crash on Tuesday night in Escondido.
The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on May 5 in the 495 block of San Pasqual Valley Road near Oak Hill Drive.
Police said a 2014 Mazda 3 was heading northbound on San Pasqual Valley Road when it struck four pedestrians from behind.
Two pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene. The other two victims were transported to taken to Palomar Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle involved, a 28-year-old Escondido woman, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
