Woman Killed, Oscar Lopez-Almeida Arrested in Head-On Collision on Avenue 184 and Road 64 in Tulare County

62-Year-Old Woman Killed in Tulare County Car Crash on Avenue 184 and Road 64, Oscar Lopez-Almeida Arrested

Tulare County, California (March 9, 2020) – A woman was killed in a crash involving two vehicles on Friday afternoon in Tulare County, authorities said.

The crash happened at Avenue 184 and Road 64, at about 6:00 p.m., March 8.

A car driven by Oscar Lopez-Almeida, 27, collided head-on with another vehicle. Almeida was suspected to have been driving under the influence, according to the police.

A 62-year-old woman in the other car was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Almeida was booked in Tulare County Jail following the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
