Woman Dies after Antioch Train Accident on Second Street
Antioch, California (June 14, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon train accident that killed a female pedestrian in downtown Antioch.
The deadly crash occurred on Second Street, at around 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13.
A freight train struck a female pedestrian who was on the BNSF Railway tracks. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established, the police said.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
