Woman Killed After 2-vehicles Crashes Head-on at Avenal Cutoff Road and 30th Avenue in Stratford
Stratford Car Accident at Avenal Cutoff Road and 30th Avenue Resulted in Death of Female Party
Stratford, California (April 18, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a fatal head-on collision that happened at the intersection of Avenal Cutoff Road and 30th Avenue in Stratford, Kings County, Friday night.
The accident involved Chevrolet Sonic operated by a female party in her 30s and a Chevrolet Silverado that were traveling in the opposite directions along Avenal Cutoff.
The initial report indicated that the Silverado drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with the Sonic at about 11:55 p.m. April 17.
Sadly, the Sonic motorist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The unidentified driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized at Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia with moderate injuries.
Detectives believed that drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
