59-Year-Old Woman Killed, 4 Hospitalized after Tulare County Head-On Crash on Monson Drive near Dinuba

Tulare County, California (December 26, 2019) – A 59-year -old woman was killed and several others injured after a suspected DUI crash on Thursday morning in Tulare County, according to a police report.

The fatal crash took place at around 6:00 a.m. December 26, west f Monson Drive, southeast of Dinuba.

The California Highway Patrol said a 33-year-old Oakland man was driving a white Kia Soul west on Avenue 384 when it crossed over the lane and struck a Chevy Astro.

The 59-year-old woman, a passenger in the middle seat of Chevy, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the Kia was severely injured and airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Chevy and four female passengers were injured and taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia. 

The driver of the Kia was suspected of driving under the influence. Upon his release, he will be booked into the Tulare County pre-trial facility on DUI charges.

No other details of the crash were immediately released.

The investigation into the crash is still under investigation.
