Woman Arrested after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Grand Street and Otis Drive

Several Injured in Alameda Hit-And-Run Accident Wednesday Afternoon

Alameda, California – Following the hit-and-run accident that occurred at around 3:30 pm on Wednesday, a woman was arrested as several people got injured.

The Alameda police stated that three vehicles met with the accident in the area of Grand Street and Otis Drive; one vehicle lodged up against a building.

Based on the investigation it was found that the driver of one vehicle was traveling at high speed and was on the weaving section just before the crash occurred.

The driver jumped the red light and crashed into two other vehicles. Then quickly got out of the vehicle and ran on foot with a kid. She left one person stuck inside the vehicle.

Following the multi-vehicle crash, four people were rushed to trauma centers for the treatment of their injuries.

Later, the police searched and arrested an adult woman who ran on foot after the crash occurred.

The police arrested her for hit-and-run, child endangerment, felony reckless driving, and other violations.

The crash is under investigation.
