Victim Killed in Lancaster Pedestrian Crash on Antelope Valley Freeway ID’d as James Edmonds

CHP Identify James Edmonds as Man Killed in Lancaster Pedestrian Crash on 14 Freeway 

Lancaster, California (January 19, 2020) – 30-year-old James Edmonds has been identified as the victim killed in a pedestrian accident that happened in Lancaster on Wednesday night.

The fatal collision occurred on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway shortly before midnight.

According to a California Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 26-year-old Rosamond man northbound struck Edmonds while crossing the interstate.

Officials sadly pronounced James Edmonds deceased at the scene.

The Chevrolet motorist sustained minor injuries in the wreck. The victim was then hospitalized at Antelope Valley Hospital.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
