Ty Wood Sr. ID’d as One of Four Killed in Fresno Head-On Crash on Millerton Road near Bellaggio Road

Fresno, California (March 15, 2020) – One of the four people who were killed early Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash near Millerton Lake in Fresno County has been identified as Ty Wood Sr., 64, of Coarsegold.

At about 2:00 a.m. on March 13, a 1995 Nissan pickup truck was heading northbound on Millerton Road when it veered into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 1998 Toyota Camry.

Wood, who was the driver of the Nissan, was declared dead at the scene. Three female passengers in the back seat of Toyota were also pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Toyota suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center. His right front male passenger was taken by land ambulance to CRMC with major injuries.

All parties were wearing seatbelts when the accident occurred, the CHP said. Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
