Lewiston Car accident on Highway 299 near Trinity Dam Boulevard Results in Major Injuries
Lewiston, California (June 13, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances that led to a major injury crash on Highway 299, near Trinity Dam Boulevard in Lewiston at about 4:41 p.m. Friday.
Major injuries were sustained after an SUV, and a second vehicle crashed head-on along the highway in Trinity County Friday afternoon.
Firefighters responded at the crash site and extricated a woman who was pinned in the SUV upon the impact.
The current condition and the identity of the wounded victims have not yet been released thus far.
The mishap resulted in the closure of the roadway as police and emergency crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
