Travis Green Killed in Jurupa Valley DUI Pedestrian Crash on Mission Boulevard, Keyshawn Henderson Arrested

Travis Green Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Mission Boulevard in Jurupa Valley

Jurupa Valley, California (May 20, 2020) – 29-year-old Travis Green, of Jurupa Valley, has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by an alleged DUI driver along Mission Boulevard in Jurupa Valley early Monday morning, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Green was struck by a vehicle driven by Keyshawn Latrell Henderson on the highway east of Jurupa Road at about 2:15 a.m. May 18

Henderson reportedly continued for another 300 yards before coming to a rest near the intersection of Rathke Drive and Golden West Avenue

Officials said Green was pinned underneath the vehicle following the mishap. Sadly, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Henderson, a Moreno Valley resident, was intoxicated at the time of the collision.

There were no other victims hurt in the mishap, including Henderson’s passenger.

Police later arrested Henderson on Monday, May 18, and booked him at the Riverside jail on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol causing death.

An investigation into the accident is underway. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Jurupa Valley sheriff’s station at 951-955-2600 or submit anonymous tips to Coachella Valley Crime Stoppers at 800-78-CRIME.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
