Toyota Silver Struck and Seriously Injured 1 Victim near Sisk Road and Highway 219

Modesto Pedestrian Accident near Sisk Road and Highway 219 Resulted in Seriously Injuries

Modesto, California (March 3, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a pedestrian accident that resulted in serious injuries on Saturday night, February 29 in Modesto.

The CHP said a female pedestrian sustained serious injury after she was hit by a Toyota silver car near Sisk Road and Highway 29 at about 8:41 p.m.

The patient received first aid treatment from Emergency crews who responded to the scene shortly after the wreck.

It was not mentioned whether or not the operator of the Toyota stopped after the crash and cooperated with the investigation.

The accident remains under an active investigation.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
