Motorcycle and Car Accident at Monitor Street and Berkshire Road in Bakersfield Sends 17-Year-Old Boy To Hospital Thursday afternoon
Bakersfield, California (March 26, 2020) – A 17-year-old boy riding a pocket motorcycle was struck and injured by a vehicle Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Bakersfield, according to authorities.
According to police, the boy was riding his miniature motorcycle southbound on Monitor Street when a vehicle traveling westbound on Berkshire Road hit him at about 3:15 p.m.
The teenager suffered moderate to major injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
The woman driving the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police. She had complaints of pain and was also transported to a hospital for treatment.
Alcohol, drugs or speed were not considered a factor in the accident.
