Taxi Driver Injured in Hillcrest Crash on State Route 163 near Richmond Street Off-Ramp Saturday

Hillcrest, California (December 7, 2019) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a taxi driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 163 in the Hillcrest neighborhood Saturday evening.

The accident happened at about 4:57 p.m. on northbound State Route 163 near the Richmond Street off-ramp.

Authorities said a Toyota Prius taxi collided with a Kia Rio on northbound state Route 163 for reasons still under investigation.

Paramedics responded to the crash site and provided medical aid to the taxi driver who was bleeding from the forehead after the accident. The extent of the patient’s injuries remained unknown.

As per the report, the two vehicles were on the right shoulder of the offramp.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
