Bicyclist Killed in San Diego Traffic Collision on Paradise Valley Road near Munda Road
San Diego, California (May 14, 2020) – A 52-year-old bicyclist died following a suspected DUI traffic collision Wednesday night near Munda Road in Vista area, San Diego.
As per the dispatch, the man was riding his bicycle westbound along the north edge of Paradise Valley Road when a 2008 SAAB 9-3 sedan rear-ended him shortly before 9:15 p.m. on May 13.
The bicyclist died at a local hospital while undergoing treatment. Pending notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
The sedan driver, a 28-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The fatal crash remains under an active investigation.
