Rosa Orellana Killed in Oildale Pedestrian Accident on Merle Haggard Drive near McCray Street
Victim Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Merle Haggard Drive in Oildale ID’d as Rosa Orellana
Oildale, California (May 21, 2020) – 91-year-old Rosa Orellana has been identified as the woman who was struck and killed by a pickup truck after she entered the highway in the area of Oildale at approximately 5:30 p.m. May 15.
The initial report indicated that Orellana was collecting cans and bottles near McCray Street before the Friday evening collision.
Sadly, Orellana was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Details regarding the driver of the pickup were not immediately established at the time of the report.
The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
