Man Killed in Oceanside Motorcycle Crash on Oceanside Boulevard; Ronald Estes Arrested

Oceanside, California (February 10, 2020) – The driver who caused a traffic accident that killed a motorcycle rider Saturday afternoon in Oceanside has been arrested.

The deadly crash was reported at around 2:20 p.m. Saturday, February 8 on Oceanside Boulevard at the El Corazon compost facility.

Authorities said a truck was exiting the El Corazon compost facility and was attempting to make an illegal left turn onto the road when it collided with the motorcyclist who was heading westbound on Oceanside Boulevard.

The motorcyclist, only identified as a 53-year-old Oceanside man, died in the crash.

The truck driver, identified as Ronald Estes, was arrested and booked into jail for gross vehicular manslaughter charges.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
