Coroner Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Menifee Crash on State Route 74 near 3rd Street as Raul Hernandez

Menifee, California (February 24, 2020) – The motorcyclist who died in a crash that happened Sunday afternoon in Menifee has been identified as Raul Hernandez, 22, of Winchester, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner’s Bureau.

Authorities responded to the 27000 block of state Route 74 near 3rd Street after they received a report of the accident that occurred at around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23.

According to the authorities, Hernandez was riding his motorcycle westbound on state Route 74 when the driver of an eastbound passenger van turned left in front of the bike from 3rd Street onto the highway.

Hernandez eventually collided head-on with the vehicle.

Hernandez died at the scene.

Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
