Woman Dies Following Fatal Coachella Valley Pedestrian Accident on Palm Drive near Dillon Road

Coachella Valley, California (January 19, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night in Coachella Valley, according to authorities.

The deadly accident happened at around 10:40 p.m. January 17 on Palm Drive, just south of Dillon Road.

Authorities said the pedestrian, only identified as a woman, was struck by a vehicle on Palm Drive for unknown reasons.

The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
