I-5 Pedestrian Crash near North Park Neighborhood of San Diego

San Diego, California (December 15, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a San Diego auto-pedestrian accident that happened Sunday morning near the North Park neighborhood.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at around 5:05 a.m. in the northbound lanes just south of El Cajon Boulevard.

The pedestrian died in the accident.

The driver involved remained at the scene and was cooperating with authorities.

CHP is investigating the accident.
