Pedestrian Killed in South Los Angeles Traffic Accident at Florence Avenue and St. Andrews Place

South Los Angeles, California (February 7, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed following a traffic accident that happened in the area of South Los Angeles on Friday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fatal pedestrian crash occurred at Florence Avenue and St. Andrews Place at about 6:00 a.m.

As per the report, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle of unspecified built at the intersection for unknown reasons.

Officials said there was a painted yellow crosswalk, several pedestrian signs and a button for a walk sign near the crash site.

The driver of the involved vehicle stopped after the wreck and cooperated with the law.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased has not yet been released to this time.

The crash resulted in the closure of the highway for an unknown time.

The investigation is underway.
