Man Dies Following Fatal Cardiff Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 near Birmingham Drive Off-Ramp
Cardiff, California (February 22, 2020) – A man died after being hit by a vehicle while crossing Interstate 5 Saturday evening in Cardiff, a local news source reported.
At around 6:30 p.m., authorities received a report regarding the accident on Interstate 5 near the Birmingham Drive off-ramp.
According to Witnesses, the man was struck by a vehicle while he was running across northbound Interstate 5.
The man, whose name was not immediately disclosed, died in the crash.
Information about the involved driver was not immediately given.
Three lanes of the interstate were shut down while the investigation took place. All lanes were reopened at about 9:00 p.m.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
