Devore, California (May 2, 2020) – A pedestrian was hospitalized Thursday night after getting struck by a California Highway Patrol cruiser in Devore, according to a local news source.

The accident happened at around 8:15 p.m. Thursday, April 30, on 15 Freeway, just south of Glen Helen Parkway.

As per the report, a 24-year-old La Puente man was walking across the southbound lanes of 15 Freeway when the CHP car hit him.

The CHP asked anyone who witnessed that accident to call them 909-383-4247.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
