1 Critically Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 805 near Imperial Avenue and Ocean View Boulevard

San Diego, California (April 29, 2020) – A man was seriously injured in an auto-pedestrian accident on Wednesday afternoon in the Mountain View area, San Diego, according to authorities.

The crash happened at about 2:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 805 between Imperial Avenue and Ocean View Boulevard.

As per the police reports, the pedestrian was struck by a red Dodge sedan and a Honda SUV. He was running across the freeway at the time of the accident. The circumstances that contributed to the crash are yet to be established.

The pedestrian was transported to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest in critical condition.

Traffic on the roadway remained stopped as of 4:30 p.m. due to the mishap

An investigation into the crash is underway.
