Man Dies Following Orange Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Meats Avenue and Nordic Street
Orange, California (January 15, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday evening in the area of Meats Avenue and Nordic Street in Orange, authorities said.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, January 14 at the intersection of Meats Avenue and Nordic Street.
According to the authorities, the man was crossing Meats Avenue at Nordic Street when for an undetermined reason, he was hit by a vehicle.
The man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Meats Avenue from Tustin Street to Canal Street was closed until at least 11:00 p.m. following the crash. Motorists were asked to use alternate routes.
The accident remains under investigation.
