Person Dies Following Fatal Indian Wells Pedestrian Accident on Highway 111 and Cook Street

Indian Wells, California (February 1, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle Friday night in Indian Wells, police said.

The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 9:44 p.m. Friday, January 31 on Highway 111 and Cook Street.

It is unknown what caused the crash, but authorities said the pedestrian died in the accident.

The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The driver of the involved vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
