Pedestrian Dies After Getting Struck by Vehicle on 60 Freeway in Riverside
Pedestrian Killed in Riverside Crash on Pomona (60) Freeway near Market Street Sunday night
Riverside, California (April 6, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a crash that killed a male pedestrian Sunday night in Riverside.
The accident, which was reported a little before 10:00 p.m. Sunday, April 5, took place on the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway, just west of Market Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was hit by a car for unknown reasons on the westbound side of the freeway.
The victim, whose name has not been released pending family notification, died at the scene.
A truck and a sedan were halted on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway. Their role in the accident was not immediately clear.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
