Pedestrian Dies After Getting Hit by Car on I-8 in Mission Valley
Pedestrian Killed in Mission Valley Crash on Interstate 8 near Taylor Street Sunday night
San Diego, California (March 23, 2020) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred in Mission Valley Sunday night, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
At around 8:20 p.m. Sunday, March 22, officers received a report about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on westbound Interstate 8, just east of the Taylor street.
First responders arrived at the location and found a body near the center divider. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Three left lanes were shut down during the investigation.
Further details about the accident were not immediately disclosed, and the crash remains under investigation.
