Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Vehicle in Westminster

Woman Killed in Westminster Pedestrian Accident on McFadden Avenue near Beach Boulevard

Westminster, California (February 9, 2020) – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle Sunday evening in Westminster, authorities said.

The woman, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was crossing the street at around 7:00 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Beach Boulevard, just north of McFadden Avenue.

The woman died at the scene of the accident.

The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with police.

It remains unclear if drugs or alcohol were suspected factors in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
