2 Killed, Olivia Garcia Sustains Serious Injuries in Yuba City Car Accident on Highway 99 

Yuba City, California (April 19, 2020) –50-year-old Olivia Garcia has been identified as the motorist who sustained major injuries following a head-on collision near Hutchinson Road in Yuba City early Saturday morning, April 18, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

As per the dispatch, a Dodge Caravan operated by 24-year-old Adele Vershaw northbound on Highway 99 drifted into the southbound lanes where it collided head-on with a Jeep Liberty driven by Garcia at around 4:40 p.m.

Sadly, Vershaw and her 2-year-old child were declared dead at the scene.

Garcia was hospitalized at an area hospital with major injuries.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
