Octavio Giron San Bernardino Pedestrian Crash

San Bernardino Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Mount Vernon Avenue Identified

San Bernardino, California (January 9, 2019) – Octavio Giron, of San Bernardino, was fatally struck by a car Tuesday evening in San Bernardino, a local news source reported.

Emergency crews responded to the scene on Mount Vernon Avenue near Belleview Street, where Giron had been hit by a Honda Civic shortly before 6 p.m.

The 28-year-old pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died in the crash.

The 23-year-old San Bernardino resident driving the car was not hurt. Police said the driver was not intoxicated or speeding at the time of the crash.

As per the report, the victim may have been intoxicated. Authorities are collecting more information to establish factors that may have caused the accident.
