Oakdale Fiery Car Crash at Willms Road and Highway 108 Sends 1 to Hospital
Oakdale 2-Vehicle Accident at Willms Road and Highway 108 Results in Major Injuries
Oakdale, California (June 22, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to a fiery major injury crash that took place Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Willms Road and Highway 108 in Oakdale.
One person was airlifted to the hospital with major injuries after a pickup truck collided with another car at the intersection, just about 2:38 p.m.
Due to the impact, the pickup reportedly flipped onto its side and caught fire.
A good Samaritan responded at the crash site and rescued the pickup motorist before it caught fire.
All involved parties received first aid treatment from medical personnel, along with firefighters, who responded at the scene shortly after 2:38 p.m.
The current condition and the identity of the injured party have not yet been released thus far.
The accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
