Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt in Crash on Interstate 80 in Davis
Davis Motorcycle Accident on I-80 Leaves Rider with Severe Injuries
Davis, California (April 18, 2020) – A motorcyclist was severely hurt in a collision that occurred Saturday afternoon on Interstate 80 in Davis.
The California Highway Patrol reported the incident saying it happened at about 2:45 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway, just east of Olive Drive off-ramp.
The rider was on a yellow sports bike when, for unknown reasons, collided with a possible dark-gray 2017 GMC Terrain pulling a red trailer.
Davis firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
The rider was down on the line between Nos. 1 and 2 lanes. The victim suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized in unknown condition.
The motorcycle was towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
