28-Year-Old Man Killed in North Highlands Motorcycle Accident on Watt Avenue near Karl Drive

North Highlands, California (February 12, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night in a traffic accident in North Highlands, the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash happened at about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, February 11 on Watt Avenue, just north of Karl Drive.

The CHP said a 28-year-old North Highlands man was riding a 2010 BMW motorcycle southbound on Watt Avenue at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the rear of a Toyota Corolla.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike upon the impact. He was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries at around 8:16 p.m. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the collision. An investigation into the crash is underway.
