Rider Dies Following Fatal Saugus Motorcycle Accident at Copper Hill Drive and Tamarack Lane
Saugus, California (February 29, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a traffic accident that killed a motorcycle Friday evening at a Saugus intersection.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Copper Hill Drive and Tamarack Lane, near Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church after reports of a motorcycle accident that happened at around 6:18 p.m. Friday, February 28.
As per the report, a motorcycle and a car collided at the Saugus intersection. Details of what led up to the crash at this time are unknown.
The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene. The name of the rider has not been released pending notification of family.
The driver of the car was hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.
No other injuries were reported.
The accident remains under investigation.
