Moreno Valley Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 215 near State Route 60

Moreno Valley, California (January 6, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle collision that took place in the area of Moreno Valley on Sunday afternoon.

The five-vehicle accident happened on Interstate 215 near the state Route 60 shortly after 3:00 p.m. January 5. 

As per the CHP report, the accident involved five vehicles that crashed on the southbound side of the highway for unknown reasons.

Due to the impact, one of the vehicles described as a black pickup hauling a horse trailer overturned in the center median.

The exact number of injured victims and the extent of injuries suffered were not disclosed.

All southbound lanes except for the carpool lane were closed down as cleaning and clearing operations were performed in the area.

The CHP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
