Martha Guzman Killed in Ceres Car Accident on Hatch road
Ceres, California (May 19, 2020) – 55-year-old Martha Guzman, of Modesto, has been identified as the victim who died following an alleged DUI traffic collision that took place on Hatch Road, just west of Central Avenue in Ceres Monday morning.
According to Ceres Police, a red Toyota Corolla operated by Guzman east on the roadway went over the concrete median and spun counterclockwise at approximately 6:30 a.m.
A Chevrolet pickup driven by 18-year-old Joe Soriano then crashed into the right side of the Corolla.
Sadly, Guzman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Soriano, a Modesto resident, sustained minor injuries while his passenger was not hurt following the mishap.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
