29-Year-Old Misti Vaughn ID’d Woman Killed in Escondido on State Route 78 near Interstate 15

 Escondido, California (December 27, 2019) – 29-year-old Mist Dawn Vaughn has been identified as the woman killed in two vehicles crash on Monday morning in Escondido, according to a police report.

The collision was reported at around 8:00 a.m. December 22, on eastbound State Route 78 just, northbound interstate 15.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Vaughn was driving a pickup when the vehicle spun out and was struck by a big rig and a Toyota 4Runner.

Vaughn was severely injured and taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where she was admitted to the intensive care unit.

Vaughn succumbed to her injuries on Thursday night, December 26.

The driver of the big rid and the driver of the Toyota were not injured, and they remained at the scene of the crash.

No other details of the crash were immediately released.

The investigation into the crash is still under investigation.
