One Person Killed, Michael Black Injured in Highway 190 Crash in Inyo County

Inyo County, California – Following a fatal Highway 190 accident that occurred in Inyo County on Tuesday morning, Michael Black, 31, of Bakersfield, was injured.

On September 8 at around 7:05, a 22-year-old Bakersfield man was driving a 2008 Dodge Avenger west on SR 190, when for unknown reasons he drifted off the south side of the road.

He then tried to turn back into the westbound lane by making a sharp right turn. However, the vehicle rotated across the highway into the north side and rolled over multiple times. Eventually, the vehicle caught fire.

The driver was ejected in the accident and died at the scene. His name was not released.

Meanwhile, Michael who was the passenger in the vehicle sustained major injuries and was taken to Southern Inyo Hospital for treatment.
