Man Struck, Killed by Muni Train on Bayshore Boulevard in San Francisco

Man Killed in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on Bayshore Boulevard and Sunnydale Avenue

San Francisco, California (January 13, 2020) – A man was struck and killed by a Muni train early Sunday morning in San Francisco, authorities said.

The deadly crash took place at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, January 12 on Bayshore Boulevard and Sunnydale Avenue.

According to the authorities, the train was at a stop and the man was sitting on the couplers between two light rail vehicles. As the train began to move again, he fell underneath and the second vehicle of the train struck him

The man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
