Man Struck and Injured by Train near Castro Street grade crossing in Mountain View

Man Hospitalized After Mountain View Pedestrian Crash near Castro Street grade crossing 

Mountain View, California (December 12, 2019) – A male party was struck and injured by a train on Wednesday afternoon in Mountain View.

The pedestrian crash happened at about 3:15 p.m. on December 11, near the Castro Street grade crossing.

Police said a southbound #152 train hit an adult male party who was trespassing on the tracks near the Castro Street grade crossing.

Meanwhile, the victim was transported to a local hospital for a checkup and medication.

The current condition and the identity of the wounded party have not yet been released to this time.

The initial report indicated that there were approximately 300 passengers in the involved train at the time of the collision. There were no injuries reported on the train.

According to transit officials, trains were delayed up to around 52 Minutes.

The crash remains under an active investigation.
