Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Two Vehicles on West Charter Way in Stockton
Stockton, California (January 3, 2020) – A man was killed in a traffic collision involving a bicycle and two vehicles in Stockton on Thursday morning.
The bicycle accident, which happened at about 4:50 a.m., occurred along Highway 4, also known as Charter Way near the San Joaquin River Bridge.
A man riding his bicycle on west Charter Way was hit by an unspecified vehicle for undisclosed reasons.
The victim was reportedly struck by a second vehicle in the process.
Paramedics declared the unidentified man deceased at the scene.
Meanwhile, the first driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
Officials said the second driver allegedly fled the scene after hitting the deceased.
