Bakersfield, California (April 21, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday morning car crash that left a 67-year-old Arvin man killed and seven others injured in Bakersfield.

At about 5:45 a.m., the police responded to a deadly crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of South Fairfax Road and East Bear Mountain Boulevard.

The Dodge reportedly accelerated into the intersection as it was preparing to enter Highway 223 and smashed into the right side of the Chevy, causing it to overturn. The Chevy came to a rest on the right shoulder

The 67-year-old man was declared dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The other seven people involved in the mishap sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for evaluation.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
