Man Hit and Killed by Car in Pomona Monday Morning

Pomona, California (December 9, 2019) – A man was fatally struck by a car early Monday morning in Pomona, a local news source reported.

The incident happened at about 12:21 a.m. near Temple Avenue and the 57 Freeway off-ramp.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found a man down in the lanes with severe injuries.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire personnel.

The driver involved remained at the scene. Police said he was not intoxicated and was released pending further investigation.

Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash.
