Rider Seriously Hurt in Santa Cruz Motorcycle Accident at Capitola Road and El Dorado Avenue

Santa Cruz, California (January 15, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a major Santa Cruz motorcycle accident that left a rider with severe injuries on Tuesday afternoon in Santa Cruz.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 1:04 p.m. on January 14, at the intersection of Capitola Road and El Dorado Avenue near the Jose Avenue County Park.

Officials said a motorcycle and a white-colored van crashed for unknown reasons. Following the collision, the van came to a halt on the southbound side of the highway.

Responding firefighters along with medical personnel found the rider lying down with serious injuries. The patient was flown to a hospital for treatment.

No other information regarding this crash was provided.
