Coroner Identify Pedestrian Killed in Pacoima Hit-and-Run Accident at Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street as Luis Sosa

Pacoima, California (February 7, 2020) – The coroner’s office has identified the pedestrian who was killed Thursday night in an alleged hit-and-run accident in Pacoima as Luis Sosa, 44, of Pacoima.

Authorities said Sosa was hit by a red or burgundy SUV at about 8:16 p.m. Thursday, February 6, near the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street.

Sosa died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene heading eastbound on Highway 118 from Glenoaks Boulevard.

The suspected hit-and-run driver was later arrested by police.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
