Coroner Identify Victim in Fatal Semi-Truck and Car Accident at Johnson Road And Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley as Lisa Aston

Apple Valley, California (March 2, 2020) – The person who was killed Sunday night in a traffic accident involving a big rig in Apple Valley has been identified.

Lisa Aston, 41, of Barstow, died in the crash that occurred at around 8:11 p.m. Sunday, March 1 at the intersection of Johnson Road and Dale Evans Parkway, near the Walmart Distribution Center.

Authorities said a tractor-trailer collided with a silver 2005 Ford Focus at the Apple Valley intersection. The Ford became wedged underneath the trailer.

The driver of the Ford, now identified as Aston, was declared dead at the scene at around 8:21 p.m.

The Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station is investigating the cause of the accident. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact the authorities 760-947-1500.
