Linda Smythe Identified as Irvine Woman Killed in Irvine Bicycle Accident at Portola Parkway and Highway 26
Irvine, California (May 27, 2020) – Linda Smythe, 70, of Irvine, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a bicycle accident on Monday morning in Irvine, police said.
At about 10:00 a.m., on May 25, the officials responded to the deadly crash at Portola Parkway and Highway 26.
According to the authorities, Smythe was struck by a gray Mercedes ML350 on the roadway for unknown reasons.
Linda Smythe was declared dead at the scene.
The Mercedes driver stopped and cooperated with the police.
Portola Parkway was closed for several hours, and as of 4:00 p.m., it was fully reopened.
