Leonard Mompeller ID’d as Person Killed in Los Angeles Car Accident on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway
Palmdale, California (March 5, 2020) – Leonard Mompeller, 35, of Palmdale, has been identified as the person killed in a big rig accident on Thursday morning in Palmdale, Los Angeles, according to police.
The crash occurred on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Avenue O at about 2:55 a.m.
Mompeller was operating a GMC pickup truck in the southbound lanes of the freeway when, for an unknown reason, he rear-ended a big rig. The semi’s bumper was ripped off due to the crash, according to the police.
Mompeller died at the scene as a result of the accident.
The big rig driver fled the scene with a possible significant rear-end damage following the accident.
