Larry Raven ID’d as Man Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Crash on North Bunkerhill Drive near East Ticonderoga Drive

Fresno, California (January 25, 2020) – Authorities have identified the man who was struck and killed by a vehicle earlier this month in Fresno as Larry Raven, 80, of Fresno.

The deadly accident took place just before 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 6 on North Bunkerhill Drive near East Ticonderoga Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Vernardo Orgeta, 42, of Visalia, was backing a Ford F-250 truck from a private driveway when for an unknown reason, he struck the left side of a Chevrolet that was stopped in the northbound lane of Bunkerhill. The Ford then hit Raven.

Raven was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The California Highway Patrol will refer charges of misdemeanor manslaughter to the Fresno County District Attorney. The Fresno County District Attorney’s office will decide if charges would be filed.

The accident remains under investigation.
